Ever wondered why a Harley Davidson Motorcycle is spotted at a Kiehl's store? The story goes that Mr. Aaron Morse noticed that in the early years, when couples would come into Kiehl’s, the gentlemen did not seem particularly interested in cosmetic products. Mr. Morse therefore decided to bring his personal collection of cars, airplanes and vintage motorcycles he acquired from his early riding days into the store to “entertain” the men while the women shopped. Today, the motorcycles remain in display and is an expression of Kiehl's brand personality that is exploring and adventurous.
Kiehl’s is a socially-conscious brand, and it always gives back to the community where it does business. For example, Kiehl’s used to launch the limited-edition Acai toning mist for Earth Day 2010 in order to raise funds for Rainforest Alliance. Rainforest Alliance is a non-profit organization which is protecting earth’s rainforest and ensuring businesses practice sustainability. This fun fact reflects Kiehl’s that executes the corporate social responsibility.

As a brand which advocates environmental conservation, Kiehl’s has placed recycling bins in each Kiehl’s store in order to recycle the empty bottles.
Most customers of Kiehl’s have taken photos with the Kiehl’s products or stores. Hence, Kieth’s makes the Community Board for putting the customers’ photos with Kiehl’s on it. Also, Kiehl’s has made another Community Board that is baby photo wall for the customers since Kiehl’s has launched a series of baby products. These Community Boards let the customers share their relationship of Kiehl’s.
In recognition of Mr Aaron Morse's commitment to excellence and the Kiehl tradition of quality, the Smithsonian Institution’s Public Health and Pharmacy exhibit featured in 1979 over 103 products of Kiehl’s, many of which have since become part of the Smithsonian Institution’s permanent archive.
Community involvement initiatives such as the collaboration of celeb-do-gooder Brad Pitt, in 2008, Kiehl’s introduced “Aloe Vera” biodegradeable liquid body cleanser. All the profits from the sales of this product was donated to JPF Eco System, a global environmental initiative organization.
